Tua Rita

Azienda Tua Rita is located in Suvereto, a small medieval town near Livorno in Tuscany. Rita Tua and her deceased husband Virgilio Bisti bought the 10 ha. estate in 1984, later buying another 30 ha., 20 ha. of which are currently planted with Cabernet and Merlot. Vineyards are planted at 100 m.asl. The soil is stony with high clay content.

The winery’s enologist Luca d'Attoma has been instrumental in ensuring consistent quality. Tua Rita has received acclaim from various international wine revues such as Gambero Rosso (they have won Tre Bicchieri multiple times); La Revue du Vin de la France (which has listed Tua Rita as one of the 100 best wineries of the world) and critics such as Robert Parker (who awarded the winery his elusive 100 points).

The winery produces 120,000 bottles per year.
