Viticulture

From the upper Maremma, Colline Metallifere zone. Vines are cordon-spur trained. Soil is a rich combination of clay with significant pebble content - good for drainage. The higher plots are more pebbly, those lower down have more silt. 8,500 vines planted per ha. Vines are cultivated according to organic principles.

Vinification

Hand-harvested. The grape variteties are matured separately - the Sangiovese in stainless steel tanks, the CAbernet Sauvignon, MErlot and Syrah in French barriques.

80,000 bottles produced annually.
