Viticulture

Over 5,500 vines planted per ha. at an altitude of 300 - 350 m.asl. Vines, on average, are over 60 years old. Vineyards are south and south-west facing. Soil is partly calcareous, partly marl. Produced from grapes grown on a single vineyard located in the Visette area named “Fantini”, this wine is the Attilio Ghisolfi winery’s flagship product.

Vinification

Fermentation occurs using only autochthonous yeasts, at a controlled temperature.
The wine is first matured in tonneaux holding 450 l. for 12 months, followed by 36 months in oak casks holding 25 Hl. Finally it is aged in the bottle for 12 months, at a controlled temperature of 15° C in the cellar.
