Viticulture

Produced from grapes from Brunelli's two estates - Podernovone and Le Chiuse di Sotto, planted in 1997 and 1987 respectively. 4,500 vines planted per ha. Vines are cordon-trained. Soil is a mix of rich clay and "galestro" - a calcareous marl unique to Tuscany.

Vinification

Hand-harvested in October, fermented in cooled stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature not exceeding 27° C, then transferred to smaller 25 - 30 hl. Slovenian oak barrels. Approximately 13,000 bottles produced annually.
