Viticulture

From the Vigna Spuntali vineyard, on south-west facing hills – geologically Montalcino’s oldest and warmest terrain. Planted at 300 m.asl. Soil is of medium density, and is sandy in some areas, and rich in volcanic minerals in others. Close to the sea, this vineyard benefits from a favourable micro-climate.

Vinification

Fermented in glass-lined cement vats for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 25/30°C. After maturing for 24 months in 300 lt. French oak barrels, the wine is then aged in the bottle for at least 24 months.
