Le Colture

Region: Veneto

History

Brothers Cesare and Renato Ruggeri founded Le Colture in 1983. Located in the heart of the Valdobbiadene hills in the small village Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, the winery carries on the family tradition of winemaking that dates back to the 1500s.
Today all members of the family are involved in this trade, from vineyard to cellar. Daniel Dal Secco is their enologist, and Cristian Agostinetto oversees the cellars.

Estate

The winery's headquarters are based in the heart of the hills of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, but this 40-hectare estate is composed of 16 'poderi' all well within the Valdobbiadene DOCG zone in the Valdobbiadene and Conegliano areas.
Other poderi are located in the communes of Vidor, San Pietro di Feletto, Solighetto, and Nervesa, amongst others. Variations in microclimate between the poderi bring an interesting complexity to the Glera grape cultivated for spumante production.
