BiancaVigna

Region: Veneto

History

BiancaVigna was founded in the D.O.C.G. and D.O.C. areas of Alta Marca Trevigiana with its 30-hectare vineyard. It was formed by a union between two families - the Moschetta and Cuzzioli. The Moschetta family has been producing wine in San Gallo di Soligo since 1903, whilst the Cuzzioli family has been trading in local food and wine delicacies since 1920.
Enrico and Elena Moschetta, brother and sister, effectively run the company, with Enrico as an experienced enologist and Elena in charge of marketing and business.
All vineyards are located in the historical axis of Prosecco - between Conegliano, Valdobbiadene and Pieve di Soligno.

Estate

The Prosecco D.O.C appellation was created in 2009 following a reorganisation of the region. The D.O.C.G. is located in the historic area of Conegliano Valdobbiadene and the Denominazione di Origine Controllata (D.O.C.) is assigned to a wider area, the 5 provinces of Veneto (Treviso, Venice, Vicenza, Padua, Belluno) and 4 of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine).
Soils are mostly of Alluvial origin (limestone and clay), rich in minerals and microelements that gives Prosecco its unique features.
BiancaVigna’s Prosecco D.O.C vineyards are located adjacent to the borders of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. This allows their wines to replicate a similar quality to those of higher esteem, growing in a more suitable soil that allows them to develop their roots deep in the ground. This in turn gives the wines more structure, elegance and finesse.
