History

Matilde Boggi’s is the owner and winemaker of Le Fraghe, and her first harvest was in 1984. The estate, with its 15th century stone farmhouse, has been in the family since 1880
Since her first harvest, she has been determined to do more with her family’s estate, like many others involved in wine production in Italy, moving away from the traditional way of selling off their harvest in bulk. Focusing on quality, Matilde’s wines have reach great heights, finding success around the world as one of the most highly regarded wineries in Bardolino.

Estate

Le Fraghe owns 28 hectares of vineyards mainly in the Bardolino Classico zone near the small towns of Cavaion Veronese and Affi at the heart of the Bardolino production zone. Their vineyards sit at around 190m above sea level.
Le Fraghe is an organically certified winery that mainly grows the variety, Corvina. In addition, they grow Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc in red and Garganega in white
