Viticulture

From the Tenuta Voltagrande and other vineyards in Ciro'. Vines planted in 1970, in vineyards approximately situated at 100 m.asl. Vines are cordon spur-trained. 4,000 vines per ha. Soil is sedimentary with a pebbly presence - great for drainage. Vines are south-facing.

Vinification

Grapes are harvested in the first half of October. 70 hl. yield per ha. Grapes are macerated at 29°C for 15 days.
The wine is then aged for 9 months in stainless steel, followed by 2 months in the bottle, and is then generally bottled in July.
