Viticulture

From the Tenuta Voltagrande and other vineyards in Ciro'. Vines planted in 1970, in vineyards approximately situated at 15 m.asl. Vines are cordon spur-trained. 4,000 vines per ha. Soil is alluvial with medium concsitency. Vines are south-facing.

Vinification

Grapes are harvested in the first half of September. 90 hl. yield per ha. Grapes are macerated at 18°C for 15/20 days. The wine is then aged for 5 months in stainless steel, followed by 1 months in the bottle, and is then generally bottled in late February.
