From the Sommarovina vineyard in Sondrio. Vines are guyot-trained, and planted at an altitude of 350 - 450 m.asl. Vineyards are south-facing. Soil is predominantly composed of sand (80%) with some lime (20%). 4,200 vines planted per ha.
Harvested in early October. Grapes are then gently destemmed and crushed, before being transferred to stainless steel tanks for 16 days to ferment at a controlled temperature of 25ºC. Aged in oak for approximately 15 months. Refined in the bottle for 10 months before commerical release.
