The Porro family has owned the 300 ha. forming this winery for centuries. Ideally located in the Murgia countryside, Rasciatano lies halfway between the coast and its mild microclimate, and the warmer rolling hills of the interior.
The winery's historic cantina was fully refurbished in 2005, with the specific aim of vinifying to a high level the winery's selection of grape varieties, including Nero di Troia, Montepulciano, Malvasia and Chardonnay.
Internationally-recognised Professor Luigi Moio is the enologist.
