Puiatti

History

Cantina Puiatti was found by Vittorio Puiatti in 1967 in the north-eastern part of the Friuli Region. Since then, Cantina Puiatti has been a key player in Friuli’s growing wine industry. From the beginning, Vittorio has focused greatly on Friuli’s, at that time unknown, indigenous grape varieties and international varieties too.
Since then, Cantina Puiatti has been acquired by Angelini Industries. This has added this famous brand of Friulian wine to their already remarkable portfolio which includes: Bertani, Fazi Battaglia, Val di Suga, San Leonino and Trerose.

Estate

The Puiatti estate is situated in two of Friulli’s most significant wine producing areas. They own 25 acres in Collio and 124 acres in Isonzo. The Friulian wine region benefits from continental and marine climates along with winds blowing from the Mediterranean, the Adriatic and dry Bora winds coming from the Balkans. This distinctive microclimate is favourable to the region’s white wines.Text
On the Puiatti estate, 7 different grape varieties are grown. These are Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Friulano, Traminer Aromatico, Pinot Noir.
